A police officer has today morning found killed in Ndia, Kirinyaga County.
Timothy Mwangi Ciira’s body was discovered with head injuries.
According to the Police,the body was found dumped In a coffee plantation,10 meters away from his residence.
“He was a police officer but we don’t know whether he was off duty or he had been interdicted. We are yet to establish why he was at home, we will know by today,” said Moses Koskei, the sub-county police commander of Kirinyaga West.
Daniel Karaba, who is the deceased’s brother,he had disclosed to him that he feared for his life as some unknown people were following his trail and calling him.
Karaba added that his brother lived alone in his house – as he had separated from his wife.
“We left each other at around 10pm and I was shocked when an alarm was raised that my brother’s body was discovered in my uncle’s coffee plantain with serious head injuries,” Karaba said.
Until his death, Ciira was a police officer based in Embakasi, Nairobi.
“The case is under investigation to catch the accomplices,”
The police boss assured the relatives that investigations had been launched to establish the killers.
His body was taken to Kerugoya Referral Hospital pending postmortem examination.
