A 27-year–old man who killed his brother’s wife and kids was on Tuesday night arrested at Mesaria village in Kisii County.
Alex Ayata Migosi who ran into hiding after the homicide was arrested by sleths hours after committing the homicide within Kegogi location in Marani sub-county, Kisii.
According to the directorate of criminal investigation, neighbors had reported to witness an argument between the suspect and his brother Patrick Omuga over unknown issue.
“Moments before the savage attack of the 27-year-old wife and her two children aged 4 and 3, neighbors reported to have witnessed heated altercations between the murder suspect and his brother Patrick Omuga over an un-established issue,” DCI stated in a statement.
Alex Ayata after the argument is said to have sneaked into his brother’s house armed with a machete where he killed the 27-years-old wife and her two children.
“Ayata sneaked into the brother’s house wielding a machete, cold bloodedly slaying the helpless trio to the horror and condemnation of the neighborhoods,” DCI said.
However, the area security forces were mobilized conducting a manhunt before he could leave the region, efforts that bore fruits last night.
He is currently being processed for arraignment.
