Government allocates 8.25 Billion in Farming sector

Farmers are set to benefit as government expands it’s budget to 8.25 Billion for subsidized fertilizers.

President William Ruto has today assented a bill that will play a vital role in farming sector.

According to the bill ,sh 2.1 Billion has been allocated to the post – harvest management

-to tame losses and ensure the stability of maize price.

However,the government says that it will buy produce from farmers at sh 4,000 per 90-kilogramme bag.

Additionally,the government has set aside sh 1.7 billion to reform the sugar where farmers arrears will be paid.

Coffee sector is allocated sh 4 Billion for the sector’s revitalisation.

The majority leader Kimani Ichungw’a noted that sh 400 million has been made available to new KCC for for collecting excess milk during this period of rain.

“This will ensure that our farmers do not suffer from losses occasioned by increased supplies of milk in the market,”Ichungw’a stated.

The education sector has been allocated sh 65 Billion that will cater enhance smooth learning of the sector.

Morever, Junior Secondary has been allocated sh 5 Billion more for capitation while 3.4 billion in improvement of infrastructure.

One billion has been allocated to the city of Nairobi to cater for those children who don’t attend the school.

Kiharu MP ndindi Nyoro added that every children must go to school especially those living in Nairobi.

We want all children to go to school;Nairobi has a big number of school – going children who are not accessing education,”Ndindi Nyoro said .

The Mp said the resources will be used to build extra class rooms in all the 17 constituencies.

He further stressed that sh 25 billion will cater for higher education scholarship and loans.

Finally,sh 145 Billion will be used inthe of interest of domestics and foreign loans.
