The Ministry of Education has announced that the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Schools Examinations (KPSEA) results will be released on Thursday.
Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu stated that only six cases of cheating were reported, indicating that the exam was free from malpractice.
While addressing the press, Machogu reiterated the ministry’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination.
He further stressed that out of 147 cases reported of malpractice, only six were confirmed as attempts to cheat.
Machogu assures that the ministry had taken action in addressing these cases while maintaining transparency.
Machogu also indicated that the rules and regulations applied to all schools across Kenya without targeting specific institutions.
“The rules and regulations are not targeted to specific schools but in every county without favoring any of them,” Machogu stated.
Additionally, Machogu announced that the Form One admissions will be released before Christmas.
This will allow parents and guardians to prepare for their children’s transition to secondary school.
This year, at least 2.7 million candidates sat for the KCPE and KPSEA examination.
