Kenya Airport Authority (KAA) has launched the New electric bus routes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to key locations in Nairobi.
This is in partnership with Metro Trans East Africa Limited and Super Metro Limited.
KAA says that the routes are now served by the latest 7th generation and electric commuters that show case it’s dedication to innovation.
This will improve sustainable transportation in passenger services.
In his remarks,principal secretary for Transport Mohamed Daghar stated that these electric buses are environmental benefits when it comes to conservation of passenger and staff work environment.
KAA board chairman proudly shared their achievement of level 2 Airport Carbon Accreditation from ACI for four major airports that reflects their strong commitment to carbon reduction.
As part of the green initiatives,Kenya Airport Authority staff are participating in a tree planting campaign,contributing towards the national goal of 2 billion trees.
These new buses have advanced options which include wheelchair ramps,ensuring that their services are inclusive and accessible to all.
