The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Public Service Moses Kuria has assured that no one will have a special privilege regardless of social status in the National Youth Service Recruitment exercise.
The Cabinet Secretary assured that together with the president they are committed to making sure that every youth gets a fair opportunity without discrimination or favour whatsoever.
“No one will have a special list. Not the Director General, not myself as the Cabinet Secretary. Not the President of the Republic of Kenya. Kila mtu angangane kwa uwanja,” he stated on X.
“All the youth in this country deserve an opportunity,” he cemented.
Kuria also announced that the recruitment will take place in all the sub-county Recruitment Centres for all the 15,000 NYS Servicemen and Servicewomen.
Successful candidates will then be posted in a public portal 1 hour after the conclusion of the exercise.
The recruitment exercise is set to commence on February, 5 to 9th across the country.
The application will be open for Kenyans who are aged 18-24 and only those who attained a D and above in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) examinations.
Persons with disabilities and orphans have also been urged to avail themselves and register for the drive in their sub counties and centres provided they can withstand the rigorous physical training.
