Police recovers firearms which were stolen in Siaya

NPS Officers have today  recovered  two firearms  which were lost on Monday after the officer were attacked while escorting KCSE exams to Mahero secondary in Siaya.

One NPS officer was killed while the other seriously injured.

“One NPS Officer was killed and the other seriously injured while escorting KCSE papers to Mahero Secondary School in Siaya County,”police stated.

According to the police,the MP5 and AK47 Rifle were recovered at Hawinga from the house of Sheikh Rashid who escaped the police dragnet.

During the incidence,two suspects were fatally wounded.

The National Police Service reiterates its commitment to serve and to protect.
