Suspects Arrested for extorting 370,000 from a Norwegian

Detectives from Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission on Thursday arrested two suspects who were impersonating immigration officers at Nyayo House extorting money from persons seeking services.

Patrick Kizengwa Kilaya and Billy Kidula Adingo were arrested after soliciting sh 370,000 from a Norwegian National pretending to be in position to assist him secure a Kenyan work permit.

However,the complaints reported the matter to EACC which launched an operation which led to arrest of the suspects while receiving the amount.

“They will be arraigned before the Anti- Corruption Court next week,”EACC said.

The EACC further it’s investigation to allegations made that some immigration officials at Nyayo House are colluding with impostors to irregularly and fraudulently issue immigration documents.

” Any individual found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” EACC added.

Members of the public are encouraged to continue exposing corruption at service delivery points to EACC.
