Two police officers were arrested on Tuesday in Trans Nzoia County for abandoning their duty post at a KCSE examination center.
Lawrence Ajowi and Samwel Karanja were deployed at St. Francis Boys High School but left their post to drink alcohol at a nearby shopping center.
They are being held at Geta police station in Cherangany where they will be arraigned soon.
According to a police report, the officers had delivered the Geography exam papers before leaving the exam center.
This incident comes just a day after their colleagues were attacked while escorting examination material.
However ,one officer lost his life in the ambush, while the other sustained serious injuries.
The center manager, who was with them, managed to escape when the attackers appeared with weapons.
